Four Children, Eight Schools
Bobbie is blessed with four children of various ages, talents and dispositions - a college-age son (NHS ’09), and three daughters, a college freshman (NHS ’11), a Novi High School sophomore and a seventh grader at Novi Middle School. She also has several nieces and nephews in Novi Schools. Her family and her children’s educations are directly impacted by the policies and decisions of the Novi School Board. It is clear that she has a personal stake in assuring that all our schools are successful.

Bobbie has been involved in each of her children’s schools, and has made connections with staff and parents at every school during the last four years. She will continue to be accessible to students and parents, staff and administration, and has first-hand knowledge of Novi schools’ unique needs and challenges.

Parents as Partners
Bobbie continues to embrace the partnership role that parents play in the education of their children. She values the input and insights that other parents share with her, and understands the importance of parental involvement in student achievement. Bobbie has demonstrated this through her willingness to partner with the district on the school board, as well as in numerous volunteer and leadership capacities for the last several years. Having served on the board, in the classroom, and on numerous school councils and committees, she has collaborated with teachers, parents, administrators, professionals, coaches, and volunteers, and has proven to be an effective partner in planning, decision-making, and accomplishing goals.

Quality Reputation
Novi is a district known for the quality of its educational programs. There is overwhelming interest in seeing that our community continues to enjoy that reputation. Actively advocating with legislators on behalf of our students is crucial to insuring that education receives adequate funding and is given a high priority. Bobbie is committed to advocacy efforts and will remain in contact with our state legislators and leaders to see that the interests of our children remain a priority.
